A place that matters to me is my grandparent’s old house in Syracuse, New York located on 214 Ashworth place. This place has a lot of sentimental values to me because I grew up on the street and generations before me also grew up on that street as well. It was fun growing up on the street because I had cousins who’s grandparents also lived on the street. I feel that I learned a lot of life lessons on that street from learning how to ride a bike to learning how to protect myself. I feel it gave me a really strong bond with my family that can never be broken. Although my grandparents are no longer alive, every time I visit Syracuse I always manage to still drive down the street to reminisce on the fun moments we all shared on the street. But the feeling is not the same because most of the houses on the street are either abandoned or being renovated currently by Syracuse University to build more housing for students living on campus. Although it may never look the same I will always remember all of the fun thing and life lessons I learned on 214 Ashworth Place.
